Future Forum Announces Co-Chairs for 119th Congress

December 10, 2024

Washington, D.C. –  Today, the Future Forum Caucus, a generational caucus of young House Democrats, elected its new leaders for the 119th Congress. Members elected Rep. Brittany Pettersen (CO-07), as Co-Chair of Administration and Membership, Rep. Gabe Amo (RI-01), as Co-Chair for Policy, and Rep. Morgan McGarvey (KY-03), as Co-Chair for Communications. The full slate of the leadership team was elected unanimously by their colleagues.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve another term as a co-chair of Future Forum,” said Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen. “It’s so important for Congress to reflect the people we serve, and Future Forum is critical in ensuring the voices of young Americans are a trusted and valued part of the conversation. I look forward to partnering with Congressmen Amo and McGarvey and all the members of our caucus to support our next generation of leaders and help shape the future.”

“I thank my colleagues for placing their trust in me to serve as a co-chair of the Future Forum for the 119th Congress,” said Congressman Gabe Amo. “As we look ahead to the fights to come, this new generation of leaders will surely be on the front lines — defending our core values, advocating for common sense solutions, and advancing economic prosperity for every American. I look forward to partnering with Congresswoman Pettersen, Congressman McGarvey, and everyone in our caucus to inspire our next leaders. Let’s get to work.”

“I’m honored to serve as a co-chair of the Future Forum for the 119th Congress,” said Congressman Morgan McGarvey. “Too often, young people in America are undervalued and overlooked—we have to do better. By investing in the next generation of leaders and making sure their voices are not just heard, but valued, we’re investing in a stronger America. I look forward to working with my fellow co-chairs and the entire Future Forum Caucus as we continue this mission.”

The 119th Congress will see the addition of 14 new young Members of Congress to the Caucus, bringing its total membership to 54.
